I would like to start a Journey with you….
I decided to write this blog because I felt there was a need for ….. Women who have done everything they are suppose to do but have lost some of themselves along the way. Mom’s who’s children are slightly older and now must find their next step in life ~ that does not revolve around their children. Younger mothers who feel a little overwhelmed and maybe can benefit from people who have been there. Women who feel alone in this journey….. or maybe a place we can find some comfort and a laugh.
I would love to create a place women can go to ask questions ~ find encouragement~ find inspiration!!
Why did I decide to start this blog? Good question but the answer is long so i will give you the short version for now. I have been the young mom ~ I had so many questions and I was sooo tired and wish I has known some of the things I know now. I decided to do this because I am now a mother of older children and wonder now what? I have devoted my life to my children and life revolved around them and I now need help finding some of the person I lost along the way.
Now a little about me..
~Hi my name is Christy. I have been married 24 years and together we have 4 amazing children. I have 2 girls and 2 boys and did it the right way by having them girl boy girl boy. My oldest is 21 and graduates college this year, next is in his second year of college (lives at home) and is 20. My youngest daughter graduates high school this year and turns 18 and my baby will turn 14 soon. My goal in life was to be a great mom and for the most part I feel like I have succeeded. I have done a LOT of research over the years because I wanted to do it RIGHT. Mostly I learned there is no one right way. We live with 4 cats (2 which are disabled) and a dog that is suppose to belong to my oldest. I watch over 4 little ones 3 days a week for teachers at our school. I have many flaws~ I am impatient, distracted easily, and find it very difficult at times to concentrate. Oh and i am a big introvert. I love love to read, really enjoy gardening, and oh yes~ I LOVE DISNEY WORLD. If you do not love it~I WILL try to convert you. I have been mostly a stay at home mom with a mixture of this and that for extra money, volunteered for about every job at my children elementary school and am an expert at nothing~~ no please don’t turn the page. I had many interests but have forgotten what most of them were….. again why i am writing this blog.
I will say upfront I have no experience in and of this blog writing business. No clue about social media (I sat on my bed and had my youngest daughter explain snapchat and twitter to me and my oldest explained Facebook before she went back to school). But here i am jumping in.
I will undoubtedly need help and i hope i can build a community that will help each other. I am asking you to join me~~ to help me. We as women and/or mothers do everyday all the things that need to be done whether we know how or not. We learn and grow and do amazing things. Somehow sometimes we feel so alone, unfulfilled and unworthy. I am hoping we can find a way to change that.
